Water bottles can be more sanitary and provide clean, fresh water at all times to your birds. Bacterial counts double every 2 hours. If you are unable to change your bird's water and disinfect the bowl several times daily, you too should be providing your bird with a water bottle. Birds are very easy to switch to a water bottle.
